Hillevi: "What is it Ulfric's always saying. Nilsine: "Just promise me when you get some more in, I'll have the first crack at them." My husband's been tending to the vines, so I'll have to ask him." In the market, Hillevi is often visited by members of the prominent local clan Shatter-Shield that recently suffered a huge loss, as youngest daughter Friga met an untimely death by the hands of a local serial killer: Nilsine: "Is that new batch of tomatoes ready for sale yet, Hillevi?" Who knows what he uses it for? Hey, could you deliver this bottle of Nightshade Extract to Wuunferth?" I'll make sure he gets it. The court wizard, Wuunferth, pays us to plant a little Nightshade. But what else can we do, eat rocks and ice?" Do you grow all your own crops? "Everything you see is grown at my family's own Hollyfrost Farm. It takes half a day just to dig a planting row in the cold, stony earth here. I don't think anyone else would have the patience for it. "There's an old saying that only a Nord can work the soil in Skyrim. If you talk to her outside the market, she will say: "Good day to you." "If you're not doing something you enjoy, then you're wasting your life." Must be tough to grow anything out here. When she's at work, she will try and sell her wares the best way she can, shouting: "Fresh fruit and vegetables for sale!" "Fruits and vegetables, all ripe and ready for your table!" "Take home Windhelm's finest and freshest produce today!" Delivery: Deliver a bottle of Nightshade Extract to Wuunferth the Unliving. And not constantly reading guides and stuff at the same time (I hate spoilers).Įven if I didn't do things in the right order, that shouldn't be a reason for the game to actually GLITCH. And I was actually playing the game how you're supposed to play it, by it. IT seemed liked a completely arbitrary thing. The whole "selling the amulet to Calixto" had no concrete connection in importance to anything else in the quest. Therefore I did not think to sell it to Calixto. I had no reason at the time to even think the Amulet was important. Yeah some people would say, "well of course it didn't work because you didn't do everything in the right order." That's not the freaking point. Attack, beat to 0 hp, won't die, won't talk. He attacked me on sight, I beat him down to 0 HP but he didn't die. But I followed the quest arrow to Hjerim, went in and found Calixto. It was 10 in the morning and I had just stepped out of the palace and of course never saw Calixto do anything. I get the objective "Patrol the gray quarter at night." I think, ok, I'll do that.īut, as soon as I step out of the Palace of Kings, I get the "completed" message for the Patrolling objective, and then the objective "catch the killer" or whatever it's called. I forget I even have the strange amulet.Ī few days later I start the second part of the quest by talking to Wuunferth in jail. My character somehow "knew" that Wuunferth was involved, as I clicked the dialogue option "Wuunferth did it" or something. There was nothing in-game to indicate to me that the Strange Amulet was important in any way, and I didn't need the extra gold, so I just went straight to the Jarl's steward with the journals and stuff. I never sold the amulet to Calixto in the first place.
